Kingda Ka is the tallest roller coaster in the world till now 2020. It is a launched roller coaster located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA. In the past, Kingda Ka has been struck by lightning and shut down for almost a whole year. But now it’s ok and totally thrilling!
However, It was designed by Werner Stengel, (Accelerator Coaster model from Intamin) and it was opened as the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world on May 21, 2005. It is also the second-ever strata coaster, a roller coaster taller than 400 feet (120 m); Top Thrill Dragster was the first and previously held both records. About it?
The train is launched by a hydraulic launch mechanism, accelerating to 128 miles per hour (206 km/h) in 3.5 seconds. The train climbs the main top hat tower element at the end of the launch track, reaching a height of 456 feet (139 m), before dropping 418 feet (127 m). The whole trip is completed within about 50 seconds.
Why it named Kingda Ka?
Kingda Ka is named for a 500-pound mythical tiger. A tiger in the safari was named after the roller coaster. According to the Megastructures documentary of the ride, Six Flags coined the phrase in the sense that Kingda Ka would be the “king of coasters”.

The ride has 4 trains with 5 cars. They are 9 rows in each car that can hold 18 people and there are 2 people in each row. Each seat has shoulder harnesses and buckles that keep the shoulder harness down to make sure passengers are safe. At the top, passengers are weightless for a second, and after riders enjoy a beautiful view, it is followed by a drop.

Passengers must be 4´7 to ride Kingda Ka.
Its History!
Though Kingda Ka is the tallest roller coaster, its speed record was broken by Formula Rossa [It is a launched roller coaster Manufactured by Intamin and located at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Formula Rossa is the world’s fastest roller coaster with a top speed of 240 km/h (149.1 mph)] when it first opened at Ferrari World in 2010.

Kingda Ka was planned to built on September 10, 2003, at an event held for roller coaster lovers and the media. The event revealed the park’s goal to build “the tallest and fastest roller coaster on earth”, However, on January 13, 2005, Kingda Ka’s tower construction was completed, and on May 21, 2005, the ride opened to the public.
After then, Kingda Ka became the “tallest” and “fastest” roller coaster in the world, taking both world records from the previous record-holder coaster Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. But Kingda ka lost the title of world’s fastest when Formula Rossa at Ferrari World opened in November 2010 at Abu Dhabi, UAE. The fun fact is all of that three Top Thrill Dragster, Kingda Ka, Formula Rossa was made by the same company called Intamin.
Kingda Ka’s tower
On August 29, 2013, Six Flags Great Adventure officially announced Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom for the 2014 season. The new attraction was attached to the Kingda Ka coaster. The drop tower features three gondolas integrated into the existing structure which was also built by Intamin. Kingda Ka closed at the start of the 2014 season in order to construct Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom on to Kingda Ka. Kingda Ka reopened on weekends on Memorial Day Weekend and fully reopened when Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom was completed on July 4, 2014.

Skyscraper
Skyscraper is a roller coaster planned for a future Skyplex entertainment complex located in Orlando, Florida, USA. It is Under development by American manufacturer US Thrill Rides and Swiss manufacturer Intamin, the attraction will be a Polercoaster model that utilizes an observation tower for its main support structure.
If it completed, Skyscraper would become the tallest roller coaster in the world at over 500 feet (150 m) and would feature both the steepest drop and highest inversion.
